I recall how I felt about some statistics courses which I did not take in my Ph.D. coursework in Statistics, and I while I was happy to have graduated then with a Ph.D., I sometimes wished I had taken certain courses.

Statistics is integrated with computing and with data mining these days, all under the umbrella of Data Science. It opens up the doors to new fields of employment and research. If your chosen research area is not 100% in Statistics but you use quantitative methods and statistics in some other discipline, do you now look back and wish you could have taken additional coursework in Statistics?

Thank you for your feedback.
