Hi all! I have a few drafts (both narrative reviews and original studies) that I intend to submit for publication in Scopus-indexed journals in the coming weeks/months.
Other than adhering to journal's guidelines, kindly share others tips that might increase one's chance of acceptance.

Check carefully whether the journal publishes work related to your article.
If you already have the title and abstract for your article, this task can be somewhat facilitated by using the following tools from Elsevier and Springer to help you pick a right journal among those that belong to the respective publisher

The output of these tools shows inter alia average article processing times and impact factors of the journals and, if I recall correctly, also publication fees and open access fees.
In many journals you can publish free of charge if you do NOT make your article open access (i.e. it is available only to journal subscribers), but this should be checked for each journal separately.

If you are not a native English speaker, it is very important that a native speaker review the paper before to submit it. Papers with bad English several times are rejected "ad portas" by the managing editor before to send it out for review,
