Hello Zeyad, the future is now. Both nation-states an non-national irregular forces are already using all types of UAS and drones for multiple missions--mainly ISR and weapon delivery. There are also advanced prototypes of more sophisticated applications, known as UCAV (unmanned combat air vehicles), as well as aircraft refueling systems and many others. There are also similar UGS (ground), underwater and sea surface systems. I am retired Army, with engineering experience in the field. I have been involved with UAS for Defense and Law Enforcement applications for over 20 years. I will be glad to help you with your research. Regards.
It has started already. Most countries currently use more of drones and robotics to attack or counter perceived threats/enemies. In the near future, drones and robotics will fight the wars against enemies.
For me, who experienced the horrors of war (the breakup of Yugoslavia 1991-1996), who visited, among others peace museums, Hiroshima Peace memorial Museum, I will repeat what colleague Hassan Izzeddin Sarsak
said: lets hope and pray that horrors will never ever happen!
Although we cannot physically shield ourselves against a swarm of drones, but electronic countermeasure (ECM) is available to neutralize the attack. Although challenges are always growing, but the human beings are also adopting new solutions to tackle those challenges. Primitive human fought with stone and spear, but now fighting with aircrafts, tanks, submarines and ... Anyway, it seems as future wars would be more robotic, the countermeasures would be more cybernetic and computerized, it means computers will fight against computers, and humans will get the supervisory role. Similarly the factories will get more computerized in future, with less human interference.
War always leads to death of thousands/millions of people and leave many people more impoverished than they are before the war. Say no to war. Unfortunately, war seems to be unavoidable in human race
One side of wars, always claims to be good, and claims is fighting to kill the bads at the opposite side. No one assumes him/her self as bad, however, the war of bad and good always rages on, but only God may finally judge who is good and who is bad.
If we fight with machines and robots is their even enough animosity for their to be war?] Nuclear war so to speak would just be humans destroying themselves or each other and the planet with chemicals that are very strong. Its not exactly a "war" or fight with something so severe.
Agent Orange herbicide chemical, Vietnam war 1961-1971. The process of destruction remains the same. The tools progress as Science progresses. How about scientists? No progress...
