The problem of greenhouse gas emissions is still too little propagated in the media.
Still too few social campaigns are being undertaken to promote this particularly important topic in the context of the future of human existence on Earth in the 21st century.
In view of the above, the current question is: The role of the media in promoting sustainable pro-ecological development?

The role of media in promoting sustainable development can be ambiguous and very broad in scope and meanings. Powerful advertisments from the energy industry are persuasive to make readers/viewers support the idea that non-renewable fossil fuels continue to be the way to maintain quality of life and a striving economy. The terminology itself can also be very deceptive. For example CH4 or "natural gas" as the alternative to coal for producing electricity! On the other end of the spectrum we find ads instead that promote an idyllic view of life in a beautifully preserved environment where every human being appears eternally young, happy and very healthy. What lacks (in my opinion) is making clear the concept that despite the efforts, humanity is still far away to come near to a consensus on how to work together to achieve sustainability. Isolated, successful efforts may be of somewhat inspiration however, may not have a significant weight on the global scale to make a difference. What I find missing in media messages about sustainability is the compelling need of educating people to simplify their life styles (in the opulent, industrial world), re-evaluate what goods and services are truly needed, so that everyone else may have a fair share of the same. Very complicated issue here. However (and no matter where the media message stands on the scale: maintaining present status quo - living sustainably), the media are promoting the sale of these goods and services and, unavoidably, the carry biases that each one of us should be able to analyze critically and always evaluate.
In the context of the above considerations, the following question is also current:
Should the principles of sustainable pro-ecological development through education and mass media be promoted?
Dissemination of the principles of sustainable pro-ecological development of the global economy through education and social campaigns in the mass media
The aim of promoting the principles of sustainable pro-ecological development of the global economy should be to educate the society, including the broadcasting of social campaigns in the mass media.
Perhaps thanks to this, the significance and strength of specific barriers to the principle of sustainable development of the global economy will gradually decrease.
In view of the above, the current question is: Should the principles of sustainable pro-ecological development through education and mass media be promoted?

In my opinion, the issue of ecology should be added to educational programs, including issues related to greenhouse gas emissions, faster global warming process, indispensability of implementation and development of ecological energy innovations based on renewable energy sources, improvement of reclamation techniques of degraded civilization environment natural, sorting garbage, recycling, the need to reduce the use of plastic in the packaging of products, etc.
