You checked the antibacterial effect of the mixture of artemisia plus some metal oxide nanoparticles. I would suggest you to check the antibacterial activity of artemisia and the metal oxide individually. As far as I know the artemisia is a large genus of plants, about 200-400 species belong to this class and generally contains some botanicals (terpenoids, sesquiterpene lactones etc.), which may first adsorbed on the surface of the metal oxide nanoparticles that inhibit the generation of the reactive oxygen species (ROS) to show antibacterial property.

In fact, I used plant that grows in the western desert of Iraq in Anbar. It was brought me dry, not in the season of its germination. all NPs of TiO2 , ZnO and the artemisia solution and their mix didn't dive any results.

How about you try testing the artemisia capability with and without the nano-particles to get a quick result. I would prefer to use both +ve and -ve bact. to see if theres any significant changes.
