In the age of AI, in the face of massive amounts of data, new medical professions are emerging, such as the rapidly growing new profession of data scientist, other professions are holding on by changing their scope of competence, and others are burning out. The competences of the doctor will evolve in two directions, namely towards specialists who will participate in the development of AI algorithms such as supervised ML. The second group will move towards the traditional role of the GP, responsible for the overall wellbeing of the patient, and providing empathy.
