The DAB- white powder, I store at room temperature, desiccator is getting brown colour with the time. It is also not working properly as before (when I have white powder). Is it useless after getting brown colour? is there any procedure to do (to remove water) prior to used this hydrated product?
There are two reasons. Number one that your desiccator has not worked as desired. Number two you might have opened and closed original bottle many a times. To avoid browning we generally make the portions of DAB if procured in large quantity and this portioned DAB were kept desiccated at -20 centigrade. Similarly for the portion that is in use.
If DAB has turned into brown means it has got oxidised by atmospheric oxygen and is now unusable.
Yes after getting hydrated, its better not to use DAB to avoid inconsistent results.
