Those are not 'alternatives' anymore but mainstream energy (solar, wind, and hydro).
They prevent the future environmental issues of the replaced fossil.
The clean energy nothing to do with the contamination from the past or from the non-replaced (parallel used) fossil.
Clean, renewable energy also has an environmental burden, but lower than fossil.

Solar energy is clean energy and can be used as a tool to reduce global warming but the methods we are having today for solar energy extraction (like solar PV) are not clean. Conversion of raw silicon to 99.999% pure solar grade silicon is energy intensive, electricity intensive process.1 ton of crude silicon production results in 10 t of carbon dioxide; Purification process results in additional 45 t of carbon dioxide. Solar cell fabricated with Siemen’s process needs 6 years of operation to recover the energy used to make it.

Yes, of course. In the case of conventional vehicules the path is to electrical movility. Colombia is understanding this way and I think that the future is that.

Clean energies are environmental friendly because there is no emission of greenhouse gases when burnt. Solar energy is the best for the future
