I fetched water from a bore hole into a plastic container and covered it properly with a plastic lid. The water seems clear, clean and drinkable. But after about a week, I observed that the bottom and sides of the plastic container became slimy and slipping. 1) Why? Is this an indication of microbial presence or precipitation of substances on the plastic walls. 2) What is the best way of extracting the slimy substances (Though not visible) for laboratory analyses. I greet you all
