Game theory has several main branches (e.g. cooperative or non-cooperative), and can be approached from multiple disciplines, including economics, computing, algorithmic theory, etc. As an introduction, I suggest the book "Essentials of Game Theory: A Concise Multidisciplinary Introduction". It is concise (less than 100 pages), it is not focused on some particular applications (differently from other classics such as "An Introduction to Game Theory" of Osborne), and you can find it cheaply on Amazon or at any library. From this, you can move on to other books, such as those provided in the other answers.

Yoav Shoham and Kevin Leyton Brown published a book on Game Theory in Multi-agent systems some years ago. It is very educational and well explained. You can find the ebook available for download at their website:

I think that they also run MOOCs based on Game Theory at Coursera and Stanford Online.

"An Introduction to Game Theory" by Martin J. Osborne would be a good book to start. It has very clear explanations of concepts, accompanied with good supporting examples.

but it depends on your purpose of studying game theory, because there are a lot of books in this field, my field's study is economics.

Game theory is math. If you are interested in games, read The Grasshoppe, by Bernard Suits. !
