Dear All,
As we know in part of watershed contain aquifer! In SWAT we should simulate watershed (large scale) but in groundwater modeling, we should simulate aquifer.
In order to simulate with SWAT-MODFLOW (http://swat.tamu.edu/software/swat-modflow/) can we simulate aquifer and it's component only for aquifer's boundary?
In tutorial files, I did not find any difference between them.
What's your opinion?
The purpose of SWAT-Modflow is link surface and groundwater processes. Best way is the use the watershed boundary. If you are interested in focusing on the aquifer, you might consider running Modflow alone at aquifer boundary. Finally, the answer to your question depend on the main objective of your research. You can still run this interface if your sole purpose is the study the aquifer.

My case study includes karst area. I want to simulate this watershed by modified SWAT model for Karstic watersheds and then simulate the aquifer by coupled modified SWAT and MODFLOW.
The objective of my project is the affects of Karst on aquifer.
SWAT-MODFLOW has major problems such as using old revise of SWAT2012 model and unable to detecting dominated HRUs. So, I want to develop it for better performance in Karstic watersheds.

The two soft wares based on the same principles. A good representing of the boundary conditions for the study area you can obtain the same results by the two soft wares. I advice you to use the model of ( Prickett, T. A., and. Lonngquist, C. G., (1971), “Selected Digital Computer Techniques for Groundwater Resource Evaluation”, (Illinois State Water Survey Bulletin 55.) 62 pp.). This model after a few modification you can get excellent results without obstacles.
