Dear all,I'm currently modelling the masonry wall in ABAQUS using simplified micro-modelling approach. My model didn't go really well, I believe could be something to do with the interaction definition.
Can someone share the cohesive interaction material properties with me?
What's the correct way to model the interaction? General contact > interaction properties etc?
The two disimilar material in contact can be simulated in ABAQUS using various types of contact element is available. For, 2-dimensional analysis zero thickness surface to surface element can be used then, 3-d analysis volume to volume contact to be use. The surface to surface contact interfacial behaviour is 2-d in nature and to be defined using normal and shear stiffness at the contact point..the deformation is both normal to the contact called normal displacement and shear displacement due to shearing at the contact..i suggest you to refer ABAQUS manual for further details in this regard mainly to look for contact element or interface element..ok all the best..
Hassan Bagheri I am sorry, is it necessary that, every one should bargain on ABAQUS? If someone is asking on this plateform he should be advice properly about his problem on this plateform.
