We want to isolate transfected cells using magnetic beads or a column. Can anyone suggest co-transfection surface markers suits in CD4 T cells and the commercial availability of antibodies against them?
If you use FACS you can either positively or negatively select for your CD4+ T cells. You can use FITC or PE beads. To positively select you just have to use an Ab against CD4 which is readily available. To negatively select you use Abs to all the other cells in your culture/tissue. For example if it is the spleen you would use CD19, CD11b, CD8, NK1.1, etc. to remove all other cells. These Ab are also all readily available.
