We recently discovered our camera is so out dated that we can't just update the software and computer but need an all new camera as well. We have the camera on an Olympus IX51 inverted florescence microscope. It is used to look at samples ( mainly cell cultures) and a few labs are going want to start using it for publications but the computer and software we are using is so old that it is basically unusable. Any suggestions on what cameras work well would be appreciated! A sales rep told me that the monochrome cooled cameras work best for florescence have you found this to be true?
