I agree with Abdulkadir Sertap Kavasoglu; in a nutshell, all simulation software are based on mathematical models that can be written into algorithms. It is far better for one to learn to code such algorithms than to apply ready made, often heuristic programs. Even simple spreadsheets, such as Microsoft Excel, can be used to great effect - usually without even resorting to the developer layer elements such as macros. Ultimately, one then can modify program parameters to make useful additional predictions.
