I'm looking for an efficient method to sediment zinc oxide nanoparticles, between 20-50 nm in size, from liquids like cell culture media. Filtering is of course a method of choice, but in higher concentrations (1 mg/L) filters become blocked very quickly. I need separate fluids to have some solubility measurements. I tried ultracentrifugation (150 000xg for 1 hour) but I still have suspension in a lower layer in a tube, some pellets are visible but they are not firmly formed.
