I am modelling a nozzle to generate the droplet using two-phase flow module. I need the interaction of the fluid and membrane cause pressure as an inlet of the nozzle. Anyone know how to couple this two modules or other suggestion?
Thanks for the answer. In inkjet model (COMSOL library example) instead of the inlet velocity profile, I added a membrane and top of the membrane I apply a distributed and time dependent load which causes vibration in the membrane. the generated vibration pushes the liquid to the nozzle to generate the water droplet in the air. When I am defining the two-phase flow What I have to define for the interaction of the fluid and membrane (as the interaction of the solid and fluid is our inlet)?
OK! I see the problem now. FSI model does not have multiphase setting.
Maybe you can cut your two-phase flow domain into two part: one for liquid (single phase) connected to membrane, using FSI for liquid+membrane, and one for multiphase, say using phase field or level set.
I have a similar problem and I would follow your advice cutting the fluid domain in two parts:one for FSI and one for two phase flow. I was wondering if I should solve two different study: I could solve Two phase flow and use this solution as value of variables not solve for FSI study.
i need some help regarding coupling of laminar two phase flow level set and structure mechanic. i want the solid structure to move and at the same time it should effect the bubble placed on the structure.
