can anyone specify an optimum dilution for Streptavidin-Alexa Fluor 488 "green" to be used in immunofluorescence? [I am using Streptavidin-Alexa Fluor 488 , Molecular Probes, S11223]
I use 1:1000 and it works fine (Streptavidin-Alexa Fluor 647 in my case). You would be safe to use even higher dilution I think, like 1:1200/1500. Hope that helps.
The more the concentration, the more the background, I think 1:1000 for cells is fine, 1:500 for tissue. Be careful about washing, use PBST, 0.05%, gives cleaner background
