Can anyone plz share some idea about strain controlled analysis in abaqus,where strain is fixed and load we can vary then check the failure of material?
Except load you apply displacement boundary condition. By this way you can find the reaction force corresponding to applied displacement. This will definitely work.
I cannot understand your question exactly. Forces and deformation increase together. You cannot have a "fixed" strain while increasing the load. What you can have is a "fixed increase rate" for any of the two. So basically you have two options:
1. Displacement control: You increase the displacement (or strain) with a predefined fixed rate and you calculate the force that leads to equilibrium
2. Force control: You increase the force with a predefined fixed rate and you calculate the displacement (or strain) that leads to equilibrium.
Based on your problem, one of the above two methods are better than the other. Please rephrase the question so that to understand what exactly you are asking about!
