in W- H plot Pearson correlation value of 9.876 how you say it as so good. ? > 2 correlation coefficient is not correct in Geo data base. Refer Geo statistics by Davis. Discuss it with Geostatisticalley sound learned person. we hace to think while we handle sucj mapped jcpds data. even 1 0r 2 wrong input in software will make a such a large difference. We should Interpret correctly such Software plots. Again recheck the input data to the system like D spacing, Pie value, propotional mass value / counts in Y axis.

Dear Himabindu Bantikatla ,

do not believe in automatic data evaluation.

Please look carefully onto your input data whether they are Ok for a linear fit.

You should take only those peaks into consideration which a) belong to the same phase and b) which can be trusted with respect to peak width determination.

You may share your plot(s)... (W-H plot and XRD pattern)

Thank you so much for your concern Gerhard Martens. I just regenerated my data inputs and I did re plot the same. Now I got positive slope only.

nevertheless, even if you get positve slope from your fit you should carefully look at your input data, in order to get a 'feeling' on how you can trust your fit results....
