Dear Researchers,
I need guidance on the procedure to create the graph, which includes three variables (x, y, U) on a 2-D plot. This kind of plot is mostly used to show the evolution of velocity profile along the downstream direction of vehicles. Kindly suggest me an approach to plot in Tecplot or any other software.

For data presentation, I use gnuplot, which is free software: http://www.gnuplot.info
It uses an ascii input file definiing the graph - commands look like:
set term wxt size 1200,400
set autoscale
set grid xtics
set grid ytics
set style line 1 lt 1 lc rgb "black" lw 2 dashtype 1
set style line 2 lt 1 lc rgb "red" lw 2 dashtype 1
set size 1.0,1.0
set origin 0.0,0.0
set xrange [0.0:100]
set xlabel "length [m]"
set ylabel "concentration [%]"
set title "smoke concentration"
plot "spr_spat.prn" using 1:17 ls 1 title "cc1" with lines, \
"spr_spat.prn" using 1:18 ls 2 title "cc2" with lines
To get the desired results, you'll have to refer to the manual.

The procedure above is for a different graph, you'll have to adapt it. It also depends on the layout of your data in the (ascii) source file.
