I am modelling a solid slab as a first step in my project (flexural test). I have a problem that the steel in my slab is deforming but it isn't carrying any load ( I have checked that by suppressing all the bars and applying the load on concrete alone, results of deformation and strain didn't change), The steel should reach a strain of 0.0038 but the total strain is barely reaching 0.00016 after this value the programme shows ERROR....I am using Solid 65 for concrete, link 180 for steel and I am using Ansys Workbench 19.2.. I would appreciate any help as I am new to Ansys. I have modeled the slab using solidworks and analyzed using Ansys. I have attached a photo of the deformed steel.

Looks like there is problem with contact. By seeing the model the transverse strips not deforming at all. Check for contact once again and see whether the contact behavior and type of formulation has been assigned as bonded and either MPC or Pure penalty...

Actually I have checked the contact and it is MPC.
I would like to mention that the supports are 200 mm from each side.
and I used this command for steel

could it be a problem with the command?
- Its better to use Spaceclaim instead of Solidworks as spaceclaim is the main software used by ansys to create the geometry.
- In the pre-processor did you add the command to link the steel bars to concrete, if not then you need to input the following command
