I need help. I want to use Primer SepF /SepR (124bp; Martineau et al., 1996) for the identification of Staphylococcus epidermidis. But I do not know, which a gene region? What is a gene? The primers for the identification of S. epidemidis on the 16 S gene works, but specific primers Sep not. What is wrong?
That's what I did. But I have not found anything. But the reference laboratory claimed to be employed. I don´t understand it.

NCBI not inserted sequences. Even in 1996, when was first time use, not inseret any sequence in NCBI, even when was used in other publications. The experiment not be repeated.
