I easily found (including here at Research Gate) an original article on a standard reference material for zeta potential, in buffered aqueous medium: the NIST SRM 1980.

I remember using (many years ago) a reference material with dodecane as liquid media and carbon black (I think) as nanoparticles, to calibrate an ESA (Electrokinetic Sonic Amplitude) electroacoustic effect instrument, working with nonaqueous mode. Does anyone know any recipe for the preparation of a calibration standard of electrophoretic mobility in liquids with dielectric constant ~ 2, as is the case with dodecane, or cyclohexane? Thanks!
