I would like to use a staircase procedure to obtain a discrimination success of, say, two different stimuli at around 60%.

I know that with 1up 1down procedures we can track the 50% of the psychometric function, while the 2down-1up method tracks the 70.7% of the psychometric function so is there a way to easily modify the parameters to track the 60% of the function?

It seems to me that a 2up-2down procedure should get around a 64%, is that correct?
