Perhaps SPH based software is not currently available for thin object. For this kind of simulation you can only put a few layers of particle or even only one layer which is similar as shell element in FEM. But SPH has its problem of accuracy near boundary and only one layer makes the interpolation failed along the thick direction. Now some article has report a shell-like SPH method but I think it has not been commercialized yet.
