It would seem that international periods of higher deaths may have been ignored for lack of a fundamental explanation. See also:

These are vastly complex events both in terms of spatial spread along social networks and effect on human health. Single year of age effects may arise from the original antigenic sin immune mechanisms. Those with dementia and Alzheimer's die in large numbers. I do not have the technical skills to take further since I do all the research in my spare time.
