Does anyone know of an appropriate solvent to dissolve magnesium oleate?

I have tried searching the literature and I am seeing that the salt is insoluble in many solvents. I have tried water, ethanol, pyridine, acetonitrile, methylene chloride, hexanes, and acetic acid. Among all these solvents, acetic acid did the trick--however, I do not want to alter the chemistry of the compound and strip the magnesium off the oleate.

A manufacturer reports that magnesium stearate is insoluble in diethyl ether, water, and alcohol. I am looking for more opinions on this issue since I wish to solubilize this compound for analyses via tandem mass spectrometry and development of an assay for characterization of lipids.

Thanks.
