As a Geologist understand about Soil texture, it is in general deals with size of soil particles. However, How to define Soil Morphology from Geological point of view? And how does Soil Horizons can be used to define that?
From Geological point of view, the soil can be classified into two main types:
1. Residual Soil: this type formed in situ and it has the same properties of the origin rock and many horizons such as to soil (A), subsoil (B) and bed rock(C) horizon.
2. Transport soil: Transported by weathering agents such as Wind, Water and Ice to the new location and absence of bedrock horizon (C).
