If you search RG for "liquid solid contact boiling" you will find several references, including my dissertation in which I describe laboratory measurements and calculations including a finite difference model of a cylindrical pin. I have many more sophisticated numerical models. Why are you, "stuck in a lot of theories"? I would not suggest a 1D FEM for this process. You will definitely need a transient model, probably 2D. The best choice to get started would be FDM. Also try a Google search on, "contact temperature" to get some ideas.
