I try to use the Spagedi software. However, I do not know how to build the file defining the matrix of genetic distances between alleles. Please, how to do?
I have a population of 240 individuals in 12 populations with five polymorphic loci.
In an SSR dataset, for example, where there are 5 loci. For example, taking locus 1, which has 3 alleles, then constructing a distane matrix between these 3 alleles consists of reading the genotyping results on the gel, counting the number of base pairs that separate these alleles, based on molecular weight marker. We proceed in the same way for the other 4 loci. These matrices are thus put in the input file of SPAGeDI, one after the other at the bottom of the data on the loci, the individuals, the populations, etc ... as indicated in the manual of this software.
