Using organic solvent and acids (HCL+hydrofluoric acid (HF) ) we can separate and recover bitumen and kerogen, but the recovered organic material after soluble bitumen removed should comprise kerogen residue and pyrobitumen or insoluble solid bitumen for highly mature shale rocks (Ro>2%).

So, how can we separate kerogen and pyrobitumen, i.e. individually concentrate kerogen residue and pyrobitumen?
