I have synthetized yellow colloidal Nps with sodium bhorohydride as reducing agent, now I want to synthesis a drug conjugated silver nanoparticles which form of silver is suitable whether yellow colloidal solution or aggregated grey powdered, why because after preparation I have to lyophilize the Nps , when I lyophilize the yellow colloids nothing I'm getting, can we use gray silver ions for drug conjugation? Which one is correct?
Aggregated grey silver powder has large sized particles. For drug delivery applications, the large size of these particles can be a problem. They may not enter the capillaries.
Colloidal silverNPs are small in size. It may be difficult to sediment very small particles. If you want to sediment them, either increase the size or increase the g-force. You might have to use an ultracentrifuge for this purpose. Also check the concentration and I hope the AgNPs are stabilized by a capping agent.

BUT i required freeze dried powderd AgNps, i think colloidal Nps are not suitable to do freeze dry...
If the drug attachment is to be done in a polar solvent then even a colloidal suspension of AgNPs should be fine, freeze drying step is not required.
