I am using Jacob's selection model to determine foraging preference of insects and i have already got the result and value ranged between -1-+1.
But i am confused about that is it necessary to perform statistical significant test (like two tailed t test)after performing Jacob indices??

Thank you for your reply Bhogaraju Anand . Here we have already get the Indices value fall under the range of -1 to +1.
My question is " is it necessary to perform any significant statistical test (like t test) to confirm whether the indices value significant or not?"
