When studying cytokines in the context of a mouse model, the relevant kit will be one specific to mouse cytokines.

The antibodies in a mouse ELISA kit are designed to recognize and bind to mouse cytokines. Using a human ELISA kit with mouse samples would likely result in a lack of signal or inaccurate readings.

There are different kits commercially available for different species, and using the wrong kit can lead to unreliable results.

I would recommend the following kits from Thermo.

Dear Marcus,

Are you sure PC-12 is a mouse cell model? CRL-1721 is a cell line derived from rat pheochromocytoma. You should use rat specific ELISA kit if this is the case.
