I agree totally with the idea of working in harmony with the environment - so that it is sustained in a healthy manner, even as we live in and on it.
Another issue, is that people require jobs. My research has shown that most violence in Tanzania (homicide and stealing) is perpetrated by young men who are unemployed and uneducated, plus have family responsibilities they want/need to meet. The ideas of mechanizing everything will be very detrimental if jobs for poorly educated people are not made available - the violence will never stop if young men do not have a way to earn money. For civilization to develop, we need peace. That means jobs especially for young men - who traditionally and culturally are the family bread winners.
