I was recently invited to give a short talk + poster on an abstract that I submitted to a conference. I have never presented at a conference with this kind of format. Those of you with experience in this, do you think it is worth it? What are the pros and cons compared to the conventional format?
Moreover, what would be a good poster design? Any source where I could find interesting inputs?
Background: I am political/social scientist using qualitative methods and modelling. I would present a method to investigate governance resilience in bioenergy systems by using causal loop diagramming and system archetypes.

Hey Bianca,
they way I do poster presentations: I rarely use the physical poster - I go for using the digital version of the poster and make a Prezi out of it. In prezi I add extra details, or even extra charts/stats. If you don't know Prezi - check it out. It's dynamic and can help you keep your audience focused. Good luck.
