I am writing my PhD thesis and I need some good references to pragmatism and methodology in social science with special emphasis on abduction.
For instance, I am now reading:

You might find Fishman (1999). The case for pragmatic psychology, useful, or Lincoln & Guba (1985).
I suggest you to follow (and read) Francis Chateauraynaud : Francis Chateauraynaud
And of course, on pragmaticism and abduction, you should read Ch. S. Peirce.
Like Igor, I think that Charles Sanders Pierce is the most famous author on pragmatism and abduction. So, you can learn a lot from reading his work.
