Hi!
I'm hoping to compare transcriptional differences between male and female samples (mouse, human) in RNAseq datasets of brain tissue that do not differentiate samples by sex. Does anyone have experience with a transcript that I can use as a black-and-white, abundant marker for males? SRY was my first impulse but it was unexpectedly low in the brain... Thanks!

Gershoni and Pietrokovsk comprehensively mapped human sex-differential genetic architecture across 53 tissues. They measured the RNA produced by 18,670 genes in 544 adult post mortem donors (357 men and 187 women).
