biotechnology enzymes
Sericin is not an enzyme Sericin i a protein created by Bombyx mori (silkworms) in the production of silk .
Sericin is a protein, which is of three types, sericin A, sericin B and sericin C produced by silk worm. It structurally comprises of 18 different amino acids, and 32% serine, in most commonly, a randomized amorphous coil.
Its natural polymer its not trypsin or cysteine and its do not have that property ?
Regards
So sericin doesn't have any protease/ trypsin activity. It's just a protein!
