1. How we can interpret data sieve-analysis of SAND on Passega diagram, 1957, located outside the segments (SR RQ QP.......), under the area (C=M) (example: D50=324μm, D99= 62μm) ?
2. Can we apply all the grain size indices (Mean, Sorting index, Skewness ......) on a sand that shows a varied frequency curve two or three peaks ?

I am currently studying different processes from aeolian to lacustrine and I can only state that grain size data alone be it the median, sorting, skeness or any other numerical parameter looked at from whatever mathematical angle do not provide results that my be to your satisfaction. All diagrams I know are far from providing a clue. I trust in the GMS-tripartite tool which comes close to what I expect: Granulometry of grains- Morphology of grains- Situmetry(orientation) of grains.

For the Passega Diagram, in cumulative curve, we need to take D1% or D99% ?
I have applied the C-M pattern to give an interpretation before. I think the values you used may be mistaken. The C value presents the coarsest grain of the sample, while the M value is the median grain size. it's to say that the C value must coarser than the M value, but it seems M values are coarser in your samples. if you draw the cumulative curve like this, C value would be D1%. Hope can help.
