According to the mighty,their policy of profits,they have a right to ban or give an opportunity for publications in one or another Publishing House.I'm sure,it doesn't matter for the authors.If your work is based on your experience,your passion,your creativity,your publication will be useful and interesting for the public and intelligent specialists.
There may be a host of factors. For example: what is the impact of research on society and surrounding neighborhood? Has it changed the quality of life?
Has the research motivated someone to come to academics. Many of these may be intangible. We need not rely soleoly on Impact factors of journals
