In our lab we use the Sarbeco E-gen qPCR for SARS-CoV2 diagnostics. A recent BioRxiv publication of Vogels et al demonstrated that this is one of the most sensitive qPCRs wordwide. However in a WHO document the Pasteur Institue in France suggested that their nCoV_IP2/4 qPCR resulted in even lower Ct values (2-3) as compared to the Sarbeco-E qPCR. This was however only based on one sample, and there's no other data on this qPCR publically available. Did anyone compare these qPCRs on more samples?
