You should define what you are interested in:
- morphology (and resolution)? SEM
- composition (resolution, precision, detection limit)? EDS in SEM
- crystallographic information (averaged over X-ray spot size) XRD
- crystallographic information with micrometer or nanometer resolution: EBSD in SEM, TEM

SEM and XRD are the best techniques for morphological and structural characterization, requiring a sample size of around a pea-size powder or films in volume.
