How long can a Rudraksha seed remain viable? It is often claimed that Rudraksha seeds can live for over 100 years, but is there any scientific evidence supporting this claim? Additionally, if I were to keep a Rudraksha seed for X number of years, would it be possible to regrow it? If so, what is the approximate duration of X years?
Does longevity refer to the outer coating or the seed inside?... People wear it for religious purposes and assume it can last for several years. Some individuals may pass it on to their loved ones. Well dried seeds stored under freezing below 20 C, remain viable for several yrs. Regards.

Store dry below minus 18 C and they will last forever :)
