This is a connection on the steel pipe at the outlet of a hot water boiler with gas operation, maximum 90 C degrees. It is the only connection in the entire installation that looks like this. The boiler room is a ventilated and heated space. Do you have any suggestions as to why this might have happened? Best regards!
It looks as though a tiny transient leak is present.
As it's on the outlet of the heating loop it will not be at a constant temperature (burner on, burner off, etc.) so any expansion of a threaded joint might allow a dribble of hot water out.
Thank you for responding! I think that's how it happened, it was a very very small transient leak, the pressure test for etanseity and dilatation-contracting always came out well. However, the pipe was exfoliated as if it were a chemical cause is’nt it?

That type of foliated rust is not uncommon - I've seen it on heating loops before.
The challenge will be to find a robust seal.
