After a break from writing textbook (Civil Engineering), I have started writing scientific papers so can you advice me how to write good scientific paper for reputed journal?
What the Journal seeks in the paper and where we have to emphasis more?
Any further advice for me will be most welcome.

Rule 5: Interest your reader in the Introduction section by signalling all its elements and stating the novelty of the work.

Rule 6: Present the principles, relationships, and generalizations in a concise and convincing tone.
4. Choosing the best working revision strategies
Rule 7: Revise your paper at the macrostructure and the microstructure level using different strategies and techniques. Receive feedback and revise again.

To write good scientific paper for reputed journal try to follow these importatnts points:
1-Title:
The title should not be too long, and should reflect the content of the manuscript.
2-ABSTRACT:
The Abstract should also contain the objective of the study, a brief summary of the methodology, some important results (i.e. important features should be given), some conclusions drawn from the important features.
3-Keywords: A maximum of 6 keywords should be provided.
4-INTRODUCTION:
- This section should be updated (Recently published literature should be cited). Old references (before 2000) should be replaced by recent references.
- The objective(s) of the work should be clearly stated.
5-MATERIALS AND METHODS
- The methods used should be clearly stated.
- Author should indicate the reference (if any) of the methods used.
- A subtitle “Statistical analysis” should be provided (if applicable). The statistical method or test(s) used (if any) should be provided under this section.
6-RESULTS
- Key results in Tables and Figures should be properly commented and interpreted, and reference to the corresponding figures and tables should be made in the text.
- The text of the results should include the levels of significance, if the results were statistically analysed.
- All abbreviations used in tables and figures should be explained under the corresponding tables and figures.
- Tables should be constructed in a standard way, with standard columns and rows. Authors may seek help from their colleagues.
- The data in Tables and Figures should be statistically analyzed (if possible) and comparisons should be done. Levels of significance of comparisons should be indicated under the corresponding table or figure.
- All Tables and Figures should be presented at the end of the manuscript, after the REFERENCES section.
- Each table and figure should have a title. The title of the table should be above the table, and the title of the figure should be under the corresponding figure.
- Tables and figures should be numbered using Arabic numerals (i.e. 1, 2, 3 …) and not Roman numerals (i.e. I, II, III,…).
- Vertical lines should be removed from the tables.
7-DISCUSSION:
- A section “Discussion” should be provided. Important results should be discussed here.
- this section should be updated. Old references should be replaced by recent ones.
- Statements obtained from existing literature should carry the references. Existing literature should be quoted to support your discussion.
- Author should concentrate on the following points:
-Relate the results to the original objectives.
-Explain the principles, relationships, and generalizations that can be supported by the results.
-Address any exceptions or lack of correlation that qualify the findings, or difficulties that point to areas for further investigation.
-Explain how the results relate to previous findings, whether in support, contradiction, or simply as added data.
-Highlight the significant/unique findings of the research, and the conclusions drawn.
8-COMPETING INTERESTS:
-Authors should declare any competing interests. In case there is none, the following statement should be provided: “The authors declare that they have no competing interests”.
9-AUTHORS’ CONTRIBUTIONS:
In order to give appropriate credit to each author of a paper, the individual contributions of authors to the manuscript should be specified in this section.
10-ACKNOWLEDGMENTS:
These should be presented at the end of the text and before the references. Technical assistance and advice may be acknowledged in this section. However, funding acknowledgments should be stated on the first page of each manuscript, just after the affiliations of authors.
11-REFERENCES:
- NB: When many references are cited for the same statement, they should be arranged in chronological order in the text.
