Hi,
I would like to study ROS production in GFP + cells.
I tested DHE in order to detect superoxyde production, but I wanted a more global detection. I thought to CM-H2DCFDA but this probe is responsible for a green fluorescence, which seems to be difficult to analyse with GFP fluorescence of my cells..
Have you any idea about a possibility to use other probe for ROS measurement in this case?

1. Chemiluminescent methods with lumonol, lucigenin or phaloidin
2. Other ROS probes (f.e. 123 dehydrorodamine, Dihydroethidium ) take a look table by provided link
3. Colorimetric measurement with XTT also suitable for ROS detection (i.e. superxideradical)
So, depending of your goal and available method to measure select any.
If it is just a screening for ROS luminol (+ peroxidase for H2O2 detection) could be good since luminol has similar bad specificity for different kid of ROS as CM-H2DCFDA.
