I am trying to look up papers on micro and macro nutrients measurement in roots, but could not find any. Does it mean that root nutrient content is not a good indicator of plants physiological state? If any one can suggest some papers on this topic.
There could be some alternative plant parts having equally useful traits of physiological activity that links to crop performance .Such plant parts could be more easily sampled than root samples...
Thanks, Dr. Srivastava, I agree, sampling of roots are more difficult compared to leaf or fruits. Thanks for suggesting to look at CEC, to monitor root function.
