Our knowledge about the possible effectiveness of ivermectin in COVID in humans is still too small. High in vitro activity is usually a small percentage of full success. Unfortunately, high in vitro activity is usually not enough to ensure high efficiency in the clinical phase. .... so now its still only hypothesis ...

Ivermectin is a broad spectrum anti-parasite drug that has been used in human and veterinary clinical practice. I do not know about its role to treat cases of Coronavirus infection.
I am not sure you can use ivermectin in human to support COVID 19 treatment. While ivermectin have been used as immunostimulant apart from antiparasitic drug in animals this may not make sense in humans. Except you are saying the role of ivermectin in COVID 19 treatment in animals.
If the in vitro findings are compared and adapted to the dosage required in humans, the levels would need to be extremely high and extremely toxic.
Recently, ivermectin was investigated in a phase III clinical study in dengue patients in Thailand, in which a single daily dose was found to be safe but had no clinical benefit. However, the researchers found that an improved dosage regimen could be developed based on pharmacokinetic data.
Nothing significant and it was initially prescribed among few cases in Bangladesh just like a blind therapy and did not work.
